Wild Cranes

Wild Cranes by Jo Going celebrates the royal birds of the unbound wilderness, known for their loud, trumpeting call and their longevity.  The book's die-cut pages unfold like an accordion, allowing the viewer to peer at the colorful images of animals and totems on several pages at once.  The work ponders the majesty of the Alaskan landscape and contemplates the relationship between humans and the land that inspires spiritual renewal.
