Mexican-born painter Edda Renouf is renowned for her abstract drawings and paintings that utilize significant amounts of color, line, and texture to create vivid results. Her friendships with Alexander Calder, Naom Gabo, and her study at the Bauhaus school of Ernst Geitlinger inspired her use of color and reinterpretation of the two-dimensional canvas space into a three-dimensional illusion. This catalog includes a one-on-one interview with the artist by Britta Konau of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, followed by several pages devoted to beautiful prints of her more recent works. Softcover, 34 pages.
