Helene Kottaner's Memoirs

The inspiration for Helene Kottanner’s Memoirs by Gwen Diehn was the translation of a rare medieval memoir, written in 1450 by a handmaid to the Queen of Hungary. The richly illustrated memoir unfolds to a 325-inch long accordion format and was created using woodcuts, letterpress, and watercolor on handmade paper.
